Bauma 2001 Participation Report

「Bauma Held once every three years, "Bauma 2001" is the world's largest construction/earth moving equipment exposition held at Munich, Germany's new International Exposition Center. Yamashin Europe B.V. participated for the second time in this grand event and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all that stopped by and helped make this expo a great success. We are pleased to present the following highlights of our participation.

Yamashin's Booth Overview

Our bright and simple display featured our newest products recently adopted in Japan by Yamashin customers in the center, environmentally conscious products on the left side and hydraulic tank related components on the right side.

In the front of this display, we featured our new "Easy Maintenance" inside to outside flow, top loading return filter which does not require disassembly during filter changes. Behind from right to left is "Ecowhite Element" used on the Komatsu PC228, a long-life return element with attached grip used on the Hitachi ZX200 and an in-tank capsule return filter used by Caterpillar.

We featured our compact element design at the front of this display which delivers better filtration efficiency in about half the physical size of normal return filters, significantly reducing environmental waste. To the right of this, we displayed our return filter elements for breaker attachment use and our flushing filter element designs.

This stand featured Yamashin's core product line of hydraulic tank related components displayed in an easy to understand clear plastic representation of a hydraulic tank.

Komatsu

Caterpillar

Commemorating their 80th year in the construction machinery business, Komatsu's inside display centered around their "Total Solution" theme which features aftermarket care at its core. Komatsu displayed a wide variety of machines from their "Mini" to their large PC4000 excavator (displayed outside) as well as environmentally conscious machines and various other earth and tree moving machines. Komatsu also performed wheel loader working simulations.

Occupying a hall all to themselves, Caterpillar's extensive display featured an aftermarket care and genuine Caterpillar parts corner, a CAT merchandising center selling CAT branded clothing and other goods and various product displays. Activities such as CAT product demonstrations and entertainment featuring CAT apparel fashion shows drew large crowds throughout the week.

A large variety of medium and small sized loaders and excavators were featured at their spacious outside display. Demonstrations featuring their skid-steer loaders and "mini" excavator models were very popular with attendees.

Kobelco's outside only display featured their large Crawler Crane which attracted a lot of attention.

Volvo's inside display featured various attractions and video demonstrations while their outside location provided working demonstrations of large scale equipment.
