*Depth Type Filter

A depth filter is a cheap filter that is characterized by its multi-layered media structure using layered absorption capability. A high filter rating filter of this type has usually high filter resistance and in most cases, filter media layers are not sufficiently utilized. Initially, adsorption of most particle sizes are high, but eventually when the pressure drop rises, these filtration efficiencies decreases.
