May is the season of fresh green in Yokohama, Japan.
Actually the hills and fields are robed in fresh green.
How can I express in words the feeling of walking along the path of a
fresh green tunnel in early crisp morning on a fine day, with sunlight
filtering down through the trees.
Fragrance of azalea flowers hanging in the air and there is an obvious
suggestion of spring in the air.
For these several years, I make it a rule to take a walk around my house
every morning at 5 o'clock.
At first, I went for a walk to lose weight, but after a while I started
to enjoy the changing seasons and sometimes do this to think about
business plans.
Whatever business or undertaking you may have, you cannot be absorbed
with your work without the passion produced by having a business plan.
What are our customer's requests and how shall we cope with them ?
What kind of new products shall we develop ?
What production line will we transfer to subsidiary companies ?
Thinking about personnel reshuffle and organizational structures.
How sales amounts and profit will be ?
How the contents of books I read before are put into practical use ?
The theme for walking is unlimited.
Ideas and plans are always perfect in theory, but of course realities in
business are always very severe.
Conditions given to us are always insufficient and unsatisfactory.
We should know that the impossible is impossible.
The best way to make ideas and plans be placed into practice is to make
the most of what we have, instead of complaining about what we don't have.
However difficult the problems may be, you can surely find a way out of that.
Think about the market, then you can certainly solve most of the problems
involved.
German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck said that
"Fools learn from their own experience, but wise men learn from history."
When you make a plan, it is very important to gather information not
only from your own experience but also from history, from customers,
experts, books, and so on.
Some of the ideas and plans I got during my daily walk are involved in our
business plan. I also welcome the proposal of plans and ideas for our
business plan from others especially from Yamashin members.
Gathering the wisdom of many people before making my own decision.
Now, I am looking forward to many proposals for the business plan until
the end of September, a settling month of our business term.
I hope for your continuous patronage and support on the Yamashin Filter Group.
Thank you.
