It has become the season where Christmas songs and illumination surrounds
our cities.
Times goes by very fast, but December is already here.
Looking back this year, I had many business trips to US, Europe,and Asian
countries.
Especially Shanghai in China, I had visited there almost every month.
It is said, that whoever win a victory in Shanghai market, win the whole
market of China. Shanghai market is really quite magnificent.
Tall skycrapers are lining up the city's outline and there are several
high-class restaurants, hotels, discotheques and so on.
Most people having business there have recorded growth of proceeds up to
20-30% in these years. Everyone seems bullish.
When doing business with the Chinese, it is very important to establish a
trusting
relationship first. It is difficult to become friendly without having a
meal and getting the warmth of a toast.
You have to get drunk first, after then you can construct a trusting relationship.
A trust built like this is bound to be strong.
Hence, that is why China is regarded as not a constitutional state, but a
nation lined with personal connections.
Also goods, esqecially clothes, are availably cheap. It is really cheap.
China exactly has become the factory of the world for the 21st century and
has become also a large consumer market.
Because of the differences in culture and customs between Japan and China,
sometimes we Japanese people are bewildered and surprised.
But their vitality and power is very wonderful.
However it seems for me they are too merry and playful at all.
If you go to the suburbs or further from the flashy city, there still lies
the old China solemnly at the distance.
Is this prosperity and development the real thing ?
It is like a bubble time of Japan and also like a strongly high economic
growth era.
It is a market that attract a great deal of attention.
In cases when you can not understand very well, it is better to really
attend to the actual scene, the actual thing, or reality.
I intend to go to China every month to feel what is going on right there.
I will try to discern this market and get a real touch of it.
