President Message

November 2004

It has been a year since I last visited the U.S.
Since it was before the presidential election, wherever I go,
I can see many signboards of "Kerry" or "Bush" in front of houses in residential areas.
It is really true as said in the news that the election has turned into a large close battle.

When I visited our customers and asked their business situations, all companies were
showing magnificent full production schedules. Most customers are showing business upturns,
confirming their next year's plans for the increase in production of 10-20%.
One of customers has shown me the U.S. heavy equipment industry report of a securities
company.
It can be understood from this report that the U.S. market continues for several years in good business condition before it suddenly drops largely.
This also shows that although this year and the next may be fine for business, no one knows
what would happen next. This was what I was told by this customer.

Needless to say, in these situations it is important not to cause any inconvenience to our customers with delivery and quality, but further more, I think it is very important to stand firm
in these times, For our company "to stand firm" means implementing our business plan steadily.
From this October, we have started on our new business plan.
The business policies shows the determination of the President.
The business plans shows the tenacity and preparedness of the Managers.
Whatever happens, what shall be done, should be done.
What shall not be done, should not be done absolutely.

Now, a month has already passed. How is the progress of the activities in the business plans ?
It is said that Human being use their "Time, Body, and Wisdom" only to what they think
really important and what they really want to accomplish.
There is no other way but to spend one's "Time, Body and Wisdom" intentionally to
materialize the plans.
I wish that Managers of our company must sink themselves intently to achieve
their monthly schedules.

If there is nothing done, there will be no change.
The business plan should be done step by step diligently, intently, and steadily.
After making desperate efforts, a large advancement shall be noticed and a feeling of big achievement shall be given.

I hope for your continued patronage and support for the Yamashin Filter Group.
Thank you very much.
