Nearing preparations for the Christmas season, I visited Europe in the middle of November.
This time, I visited clients in Birmingham, Grenoble, Brussels, and Amsterdam. There is a bright outlook for business in Europe, since most predictions are showing positive growth of 10% more for this year, and business conditions are fine. This was felt also in Yamashin Europe, wherein introduction of new products are done aggressively, with business operations generally smooth according to business plans and schedules. The Western countries(Europe and America) differs largely from Asian countries including Japan in culture and custom. Even for introducing the same product, it differs on how to publicize in Asia and in the West. I think business activities should be based on these differences, since basically business is founded on the culture and customs of the country. Naturally, differences in sales strategy is advantageous. As we aim to be a small global enterprise, needless to say, the business plan should be the plan that considers the culture and customs of the location with common policies remaining as basis. The business plan of Yamashin Europe for the fiscal year 2005 has made by the excellent local manager focusing on local intentions and situations. Using his own unique approach, we shall fulfill the requests of our European customers in environmental issues, improvement in cleanliness degree, easy maintenance, physical distrubution improvement, and so on. Business activities need team work. First of all, we shall overcome the wall built by the differences in language, culture and customs, by understanding and cooperating with each other. We, at Japan side, should provide full back-up to all activities in Europe. In the future, there is a possibility that a new product shall be born in the West. I am excited to know what kind of result may come out from now on the Western market. I hope for your continued patronage and support for the Yamashin Filter Group. Thank you very much.
