It has
become early Autumn and the sounds of the insects are heard in
the evening.
September
is the month of financial settlement for Yamashin.
Yamashin
becomes 50 years old, since the 50th Business term ends this
September.
In
celebration of 50th anniversary, we have decided to change
our company name.
A
new company name is "YAMASHIN-FILTER CORP."
(effective October 1, 2005)
The
change in name will make it clear that Yamashin is the
company of filter development,
manufacture, and
sales. It is also the declaration to be a public campany in
the future.
"Yamashin"
was established on April 1956 by my father Masahiko
Yamazaki.
One
day in 1955, on the way from customer he happened to glanced
upon a superb building
called,
"SanShin Building" at Hibiya in Tokyo.
This made him think
that someday if he can build his own company, it would be nice to name
it after that superb
building. So he proceeded to name his company, "Sanshin Kogyo Co.
Ltd.",
However
most of his clients were calling it on another way of reading Japanese
"Kanji" as
"Yamashin
Kogyo". So, finally and officially he changed it to "Yamashin
Kogyo Co.Ltd.".
Since
I was born in 1953, "Yamashin Kogyo Co. Ltd." in my
memory was really shabby.
Although
the workplace was at Kamata in Tokyo and our house was located in
another place,
more
often than not my father would bring back home his work..
At
that time our house was like a shack and my mother and our
grandmother were helping in
the
job. Even me and my younger sister were considerably forced to help
them.
Even
now, I believe I can make a filter element excellently.
I
still remember there were a signboard of "Yamashin
Kogyo Co. Ltd." written in the superb
Japanese
characters both at Kamata and our home.
It
has passed a long long time since I got acquainted with
"Yamashin Kogyo Co. Ltd.".
Company
names bearing western style forms are very popular in Japan now,
but I made the
new
name "YAMASHIN-FILTER CORP." with my best gratitude and
respect to the tradition
and
history of "Yamashin". Of course my father acknowledges
and accepted this new name.
In
the near future, I will try to get "YAMASHIN-FILTER
CORP." into the JASDAQ.
I
will make more efforts to build excellent "Yamashin" as
my father dreamed 50 years ago.
Though
there may be some troubles or problems with a transition to
a new company name,
I
will be grateful for your kind understandings and supports.
I
hope for your continued patronage and support for the
Yamashin Filter Group.
Thank you.
