President Message

November 2005
(Partnership is a source of competitiveness)

On October 28. "Partners Meeting 2006" was held in Kurume City, near where our

Saga factory is located, and 24 selected suppliers attended the meeting.

It is very important for us to build up Partnership with excellent suppliers to compete

with powerful competitors. We are actually in the storm of international competitions.

Usually in manufacturing industries purchasing cost is the highest in cost accounting.

To win the international competition, a strong purchasing power is indispensable.

After "Nissan Revival Plan (NRP)" of Nissan Motor Corporation, the movement to

change suppliers from affiliated to non-affiliated for big cost reduction are spread

widely in Japanese manufacturing industries.

But I believe that the competitiveness of Japanese manufacturing industries is coming

from the mutual understanding and mutual prosperity with suppliers.

"One for All and All for One" is also the spirit of Japanese manufacturing industries.

Strengthen the Partnership with suppliers means strengthen our purchasing power and

consequently strengthen our international competetiveness.

Recently on the other hand, it is said that suppliers are divided into two groups.

One is gaining suppliers ( profitable, active management, indespensable ), and

another one is losing suppliers (unprofitable, negative management, burden).

Of course we invited gaining suppliers to our "Partners Meeting 2006".

To build the Partnership with suppliers, we should trust and respect suppliers first.

Then explain our present condition and future strategy faithfully and ask for the

suppliers to trust us. After then we can build a WIN=WIN relationship.

In "Partners Meeting 2006" we have explained about our financial results, market

activity and analysis, strategy of sales, development and production.

Even though our dreams and ambitions have been explained.

I want suppliers to believe us and want to strengthen the WIN=WIN relationship for

our mutual prosperity.

Thank you for your continued patronage and support to YAMASHIN-FILTER CORP.
