From Sept. 15th to Sept 19th, 2007, I was at our Philippines factory "Yamashin Cebu Filter
Mfg. Corp.(YCF). On the third night at dinner, one of our young staff of YCF told me that
"We have received orders for 6 × 40 feet containers to go to the Middle East.
If this big orders are correct, our sales person need to say thank you to our customer.
Did they do it ? "
Now YAMASHIN has many customers that ship directly from our YCF facility.
These orders are not received by YCF but through YAMASHIN Japan.
Yamashin-Japan release a purchase order to YCF and then YCF ship to customer directly.
Sorry to say, the management staff of our Saga factory did not know this order.
That like our sales persons, our sales manager knew this order, but did not say "Thank you"
to the customer.
" Thank you for this large order !"
"Will the future orders be the same ?"
A sales person who cannot say "Thank you" to customers is the worst one.
At this time I was reading a book about "Japanese Spirit " by Mr.Ichiriki Yamamoto,
I was very shameful.
Due to the favorable conditions of construction machinery market, our business is now going well.
But I'm very afraid that we take this good situation as a matter of course and it seems to have lost
the spirit of appreciation.
Don't forget our first business in 1954. All of our employees worked together to achieve our goals,
"To satisfy our customers requests". We made tremendous efforts to get customers satisfaction.
