We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all the victims and those were impacted by the Typhoon Rai (“No. 22” in Japanese), which hit the southern part of the Philippines in the afternoon of December 16th.

We are here to inform you about the impact on the Group as below.

We found that the damage to the factory equipment of our manufacturing subsidiary, the YAMASHIN CEBU FILTER MANUFACTURING CORP., located in Cebu, Philippines, was minor.

On the other hand, it will take about one week to restore the infrastructures such as electricity in Cebu city, therefore we are currently considering the plan to switch to the other production sites including our Saga Plant for alternative production until the plant is restored.

We are also currently investigating the safety of employees and the status of damage and will promptly notify when the status or the impact on our business performance became clearer in coming times.
