Process filters: models and features

An extensive lineup for a broad range of applications

Process filters are divided into two main types based on the structure of their filtration media – membrane filters and fiber filters.

YAMASHIN-FILTER has a large number of models and grades across both types of filters. Our broad lineup ensures customers can find the right filter for their needs, such as chemical-resistant or solvent-resistant filters, even if our lineup does not have a specific filter for a certain application.

Process filters: models and features

Membrane filters

We use PTFE and polysulfone (PES) membranes, which have fine pore distribution.

To ensure the best possible performance from the membranes, we have carried out research into other filter parts, as well as filtration media, resulting in long-life filters with high filtration efficiency and excellent resistance to chemicals and strong acids, alkalis and many solvents.

We also supply filters that can reduce eluted and detached substances to extremely low levels in fluids that need to be very clean, such as ultra-pure water.

Fiber filters

Our fiber filters contain hybrid filtration media made from fibers with different characteristics, which are combined to optimum effect.

In the field of high-precision submicron filtration (particles smaller than a micrometer), we have developed filters with unprecedented long product lives. For applications where chemical- and solvent-resistant criteria restrict the use of many other filters, customers can select the ideal product from our wide range of Excel filters and filter grades.

Filter housings

We have created a standardized lineup of housings to ensure filters operate effectively. Our range includes products for single-cartridge low flow-rate filters to large capacity 30-inch filters and housings that can hold 66 filter cartridges.

We also supply non-standard outsized housings and housings with special structures. Our housings are usually made from stainless steel, but we also design and manufacture special housings to suit specific filtration needs, including titanium and Teflon-coated products and filter units with integrated pumps.
